Delts Hit the Kitchen

The 6th Annual MFA Oil Rootin' Tootin' Chili Cookoff took place on February 19th and the men of Delta Tau Delta and the women of Delta Gamma paired up to join the fun. The event benefitted the Boys and Girls Club of Columbia, Mo. and our pairing helped in raising a total of $60,000 dollars.
This was Delts' second year participating, so we knew the competition could get a little intense. Although we were confident with out chili-cooking skills (we did have a native Texan on the team), we thought a little help from our Greek Week partners couldn't hurt. The DGs surely came in handy when several taste testers complimented us on how delicious our chili was.

The event started at around noon on Saturday, the 19th, and continued until 8:00. Hundreds of groups and organizations came out to the Columbia Holiday Inn to compete.

After we cooked the chili, members of the Columbia Community, Mizzou, and other Delts and DGs came out to see what we cooked up. At the end of the day, some of the Delts were lucky enough to attend DG's date party, Pinafore, at a local bowling alley. It was a great way to celebrate our accomplishment for the Columbia Boys and Girls Club.
